What do we mean by
corporate communications?
Different people use the term in different ways and many ask us
what it means. We define corporate communications
as:
The channels and methods of communication used by representatives of an organisation to communicate with internal and external audiences.
Corporate communications include speeches, newsletters, product launches, team briefings and electronic media. But even informal channels such as the grapevine need to be considered in the flow.
Effective corporate communications are
 |
|
planned |
|
structured - and then |
|
measured |
 |
to ensure they achieve the necessary business objectives.
Corporate communications sometimes overlap with public relations and marketing communications.
