Malcolm Davison

Many people dabble in the web but few can claim to understand it fully. Malcolm is an exception.

Malcolm has a rare combination of skills and experience, enabling him to specialise in website design, usability and programming. He is also a professional photographer and a very able writer.

His technical knowledge of computers stems from his first post as a computer programmer at Barclays Bank.

He then found a niche in marketing and PR where he worked for the next 20 years. At the same time, he continued to expand his knowledge of computers and wrote five books.

As Publications Manager for the Redland Group, he was asked to design their first website. Now a freelance communication consultant, he has advised many clients on internet and intranet issues, including the Ministry of Defence and the European Commission.

Milestones include producing a website for the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust, and being awarded a diploma of honour by the Federation of European Industrial Editors for creating and maintaining its website.

He is also a judge in Europe's largest communications competition for websites and intranets - the 'CIB awards' run by the British Association of Communicators in Business.
